About this tool

Scanners jam, pages get fed twice, and documents arrive with the appendix in the middle. The organizer gives you a visual grid of every page — drag pages into place, rotate the sideways ones, duplicate a page that needs to appear twice, and delete the blanks. What you see in the grid is exactly what exports.

Like every tool here, the work happens locally: your document is parsed and rebuilt in a browser worker, never uploaded. That makes it safe for the documents people actually need to fix — medical records, government forms, legal filings.

How to organize step by step

  1. 1

    Upload the PDF

Drop the file or click Choose PDF. Each page renders as a thumbnail in the grid, in current document order.

  2. 2

    Drag pages into order

Drag any thumbnail to a new position, or use the left/right arrows under it for precise single steps.

  3. 3

    Rotate, duplicate, or delete

Each page has its own controls: rotate turns it 90° per click, duplicate inserts a copy right after, and delete removes it (a PDF must keep at least one page).

  4. 4

    Export the organized PDF

Click Export organized PDF. The rebuilt document downloads with pages exactly as displayed.

When to use it

  • Fixing scan batches where pages came out reversed or shuffled
  • Rotating landscape pages that were scanned sideways
  • Removing blank or duplicate pages from a scanned document
  • Moving a signature or cover page to the front before sending

Tips

  • Duplicate a page before experimenting with rotation so you can compare orientations side by side.
  • For pure end-to-end reversal or extraction jobs, Split with a reversed range can be faster.
  • The page numbers shown in the grid are display positions — they update live as you drag.

Good to know

  • Rotation is in 90° steps; arbitrary-angle straightening of crooked scans isn't supported.
  • Exported output is unencrypted — re-protect afterwards if needed.

Organize questions, answered

Does rotating here re-render or degrade the page?

No. Rotation updates the page's rotation property in the PDF itself — the same mechanism desktop PDF editors use — so content quality is untouched and text stays selectable.

Can I combine reordering with deleting in one pass?

Yes. Reorder, rotate, duplicate, and delete freely in any combination; the export builds the document from the final grid state in a single operation.

Is there an undo?

Within the session, re-uploading the original file resets the grid. Your original file on disk is never modified — the tool always downloads a new copy, so 'undo' is as simple as going back to the source file.

How large a document can I organize?

Files up to 200 MB are accepted. Thumbnails render lazily as you scroll, so even long documents stay responsive; the practical limit is your device's memory.

Can I organize pages across two different PDFs?

Merge the files first with the Merge PDF tool, then open the combined file here to arrange pages freely across what used to be separate documents.

Privacy note: like every Novus PDF Studio tool, organizeruns entirely in your browser. Files, passwords, and settings stay in this tab's memory and are discarded when you close it — there is no upload, no queue, and no server-side copy. Read more on the privacy page.
